One in three LA students does not speak English. That’s a good thing which, means 33% of the students should be able to keep up since there is such a large majority of non-English speaking students. Let’s just separate and segragate the classes into groups; “English only” vs “Non-English”. In a few years, examine the test results and see if their test scores improve. The “Non-English only” group may actually be better educated since they will no longer be brought down with the burden of not being able to efficiently learn and comprehend English. As far as the “English only” group they may also excel be not being dragged down by the slow non-English speaking students.
